Apex Automation Solutions is a North American manufacturer, headquartered in Thornhill, Ontario, Canada, that designs and builds alarm annunciator panels and LED light boxes for industrial plants. AIS750 Alarm Annunciators

Apex's most advanced annunciator: a modular, full-function panel that runs either stand-alone or as a networked serial system for integration with DCS, SCADA and PLC systems.

Dual operating modes: stand-alone (DIP switch/jumper set-up) or serial with per-channel configuration in ALCON software
Modbus RTU slave on RS485/RS232 as standard; DNP3 over RS485 or Ethernet; up to 15 annunciators networked
Supports all ISA-S18.1 sequences; nine output types plus individual channel repeat relay
75 x 50 mm universal cells with 1, 2 or 4 windows; any rows/columns; 145 mm installed depth

A compact, economical annunciator with an integral logic controller, suited to smaller alarm systems where low power draw and quick USB set-up matter.

Supply 24VDC, 48VDC, 120V or 250V AC/DC; very low power consumption for longer battery back-up

Custom annunciators qualified for seismic duty, mainly for nuclear power plants, built to fit existing control-panel cut-outs as conventional window-matrix or touch-screen replacements.

Shake-table testing to the plant's site-specific seismic profile, with 3-axis accelerometers
Finite Element Analysis used to identify design weaknesses before installation

Which Apex annunciator suits a small panel?

The AIC400 is the compact, cost-effective option and the AIWR is a self-contained panel-mount unit for space-restricted applications. Controsys can recommend a model once the alarm count and panel cut-out are known.

Can Apex annunciators communicate with a DCS or SCADA?

Yes — Apex annunciators are available with RS232, RS485 and Ethernet Modbus communication.
