Quintex GmbH is a German manufacturer based in Lauda-Koenigshofen (Baden-Wuerttemberg) that was founded in 2007 and specialises in explosion protection and trace heating. It designs and produces components for hazardous areas - line bushings, Ex junction boxes and enclosures, local control stations, command and signalling devices, signal towers and emergency lights, trace heating systems and overpressure (purge) systems - with approvals such as ATEX and IECEx.

Ex p overpressure systems

Pressurised (purged) control cabinet systems that let standard non-Ex equipment operate in hazardous areas by keeping the explosive atmosphere out, with pressure monitoring, Ex power contactors and gas detection.

  • Standard Overpressure System with QSS pressure monitoring; ATEX/IECEx, protection 'sb'
  • QSS uses gas detection instead of pre-purging, saving time and purge air

Ex d line bushings

Potted Ex d cable/wire feed-throughs that carry conductors from a flameproof enclosure into another enclosure or area while maintaining the flameproof barrier. Offered in screwable, pluggable, two-path and bolt versions, plus a combined Ex d / Ex e terminal variant.

  • Threads M10 to M42 standard (up to M72 on request); 0.08-185 mm2 conductors, up to 99 wires
  • Standard -55 to +115 C; high-temperature version -60 to +150 C
