FEMA Model I4E – Electrical Signal Converter and Isolator
The I4E was the first of FEMA's top-range I4 converters. It measures AC and DC voltage from 0/50 mV to 0/600 V, AC and DC current from 0/5 mA to 0/5 A, and power-line frequency up to 100 Hz, with a 4/20 mA or 0/10 Vdc output.
Ranges are fully configurable — for example a 1/5 Vdc output or a 0/3.5 Aac input on a standard unit. Setup is entirely from the front keypad and 4-digit display: no software, cables or consoles.
Useful extras include a custom label for panel identification, live input and output values for maintenance, Force functions that act as a built-in signal generator for commissioning, and an SOS mode that holds a known output so a line can keep running if a sensor fails.
