Circuit breaker thermal monitoring
Worn, eroded or misaligned breaker contacts can overheat dangerously. The Tulip Thermal Ring sits right behind the contacts and tracks temperature and current continuously using TMR sensing.

All continuously monitored with energy-harvesting wireless sensors.
Solution
Yado’s IntelliSwitch™ solution gives each of the four main failure risks its own dedicated sensor, so the whole switchgear lineup is covered without wiring or battery changes inside the panel. Controsys supplies the sensors, concentrators, gateways and HMI, and can help scope a retrofit of existing switchgear — see the Controsys home page for our panel-building services.

Worn, eroded or misaligned breaker contacts can overheat dangerously. The Tulip Thermal Ring sits right behind the contacts and tracks temperature and current continuously using TMR sensing.

Contact faults and contamination often show up as overheating and partial discharge. The PD Thermal Tag, powered entirely by harvested energy, watches temperature and PD signals, filters out noise and classifies the discharge type with onboard PRPD AI analysis.

Condensation can lead to insulation failure and short circuits. The Wireless Condensation Sensor measures enclosure temperature, ambient temperature and humidity, and warns early when condensation is likely.

Breaker health directly affects reliability and personnel safety. Yado offers a turnkey package covering vacuum interrupter, operating mechanism and secondary-circuit monitoring.

A panel- or wall-mounted HMI connects to the wireless sensors, shows live readings, diagnoses asset condition and raises instant alerts when a risk appears.
No shutdowns?
The Apollo Thermal Magnet attaches magnetically at pressure-relief points and uses thermal simulation to estimate internal hotspot temperatures, giving continuous, non-invasive thermal monitoring.
